Watching the Survivor Finale and have been catching up on reading here. I took off today to take my dad to his Cardio appointment. I just love his Cardio doctor. He is so down to earth and honest. He was very pleased with Dad's pacemaker, BP, and when dad mentioned feeling a bit "heavy" in his chest on some mornings, he told dad to take a nitro. I thought you took a nitro pill when you thought you were having a heart attack, but he explained to me what it actually did and some take 8 or 10 a day. WoW!
Dad has been wanting to go to Menards for a long time, so since his appointments were done by 11:30 that is where we went. He bought a couple of flowering bushes and a few other things and I bought a couple of things too. After we left there, we went to eat something as my head was in major pain. After lunch at Long John's Silvers we went to Hobby Lobby. Oh joy!! I bought several pieces of fabric and picked out 2 pieces specifically to make a couple of breast feeding covers for our previous secretary who is now in England with her husband. I reviewed her photos on FB and saw that she wears very subdued colors. So I found some fabric that I really thought she would like and will try and get them made and shipped soon. Her baby is due in July and not sure how long it takes to get from here to there so I need to get in gear. Sister started a job this week so my evenings have been a bit quieter. I need to get motivated to do some house work after I get home, but seem to spend time outside watering some of my newly planted things, then do laundry, get on FB and just veg. I need to accomplish some things inside my home this weekend and hope to start seriously tomorrow night. We shall see.
Not sure how the weekend will develop but think that some of the kids will be down on Monday. Dude is wanting to get the old pickup running and it shouldn't take much but a battery and new brakes. I may have to get it towed to the garage to get the brakes replaced depending on if there are any brakes at all.
I would really like to drown a worm in one of our ponds to see if the fishlings survived last summer. If not this weekend, then later.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Love those you have, respect those who have gone on.
