Slept for two days in the hospital, only fitting that I should go without sleep for three or four days now that I'm back. Actually, three is pretty common when I'm manic, so that's not such a big deal if that's the case ... but it is only half the case. I was too manic to sleep for about 38 hours, but then when I did lay down to get some sleep I started having serious seizures - far worse than my usual sleeping shakes.

(I have complex partial seizures off and on when awake, [which are more interesting than the term makes them sound] micro seizures several times a day which cause minor issues in cognition, and have long had a kind of shaking seizure which sometimes hits when I sleep, where my whole body will feel like it's vibrating like a bean on a drum face. These were all normal and expected seizure types prior to this last overdose.)

This time I was shaking so bad, particularly on my left side where my waking tremors can be the worst, that I was shaking my "bed" (I have to sleep in a chair do to the spinal stenosis) like a tambourine; not only that, but they brought my migraines with them. When I finally did manage to drop off for about ten minutes - if that - I was accosted by a night terror (if you've any concept of what a night terror is ... it's the thing that beats up nightmares for their lunch money) of being swarmed by ants. Fucking yay!

I'm supposed to go to a dental checkup today, but if I can't get any sleep - and more importantly if I keep having these seizures - I may have to reschedule it.
