Busy week in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

I guess it will be "normal" to have a busy week with sister and her family back in the area. I'm wearing down though and not much liking it. I just want to go to bed and sleep and sad to say in order for me to have enough sleep, I need to go to bed between 8:30 and 9 pm. I know, that is pretty early, but I get up at 4:45 and I really evidently need my sleep. Very few week nights are quiet and just myself and J. Weekends have been very busy and lots of people here and I'm really getting tired of cooking, cleaning up, and using my dishwasher.

I haven't even cleaned my house properly in weeks and it is becoming depressing. Last night, with sister and 2 kids here, I couldn't stand it and had to run the vacuum sweeper in the LR and hallway. I even cheated and used it to sweep the kitchen and just doing that lifted my spirits AND sucked up a lot of dirt. Dude and his 3 kids will arrive shortly after oldest granddaughter's ball practice. They may have just arrived. He will go to work early in the AM and the kids will stay here tomorrow until he gets home. He also is doing a couple of mowing jobs when he gets off work so not sure when he'll get back. Not sure if they are staying another night or going home yet. He'll decide that tomorrow.

Covered my clematis plants tonight to protect from a predicted hard frost. Used some old sheets so hope it keeps them protected. The blooms are so pretty this year and I hated to see them get frozen and die.

Little nephew had a tick in his belly button and it had been there for awhile. My sister asked me about the redness around his belly button and he wouldn't let them look when I told them to check for a tick. Once they got back home they had to hold him down but they got the tick out. This afternoon she took him to the dr and he was given an antibiotic. It was red and hard around his navel. Not good. Please keep him in your prayers.

Tomorrow is Saturday and if the weather cooperates, the grands and I will dig some holes and plant some things. I just hope tonight is the last night of frost. I have my Mother's Day plants to get in the ground and I bought 3 perennials after work today at Lowe's. They had them 3 for $10 and so I picked up another Hosta and 2 purple blooming plants that I can't think of the name of right now. When I got home I noticed the mole(s) were busy in my front flower bed and I hope they didn't eat all my hollyhock bulbs. I have several up and I saw the tunnel went around them. I guess I'll know within a few days. Stupid moles. I hate them and have some poison but will wait until the grands or nephew aren't here. I want it to work for the moles and not tempt the grands to "check it out".

All have a great weekend and the weather is saying the temperatures are supposed to be back to normal next week. I don't want 90s but I certainly don't like these 30 degree mornings either.

God Bless
