Our ceremony is a few weeks away and we have finalized most of the details. Although we have talked a lot about how this is a chance for us to both come out with new gender identities, the other big revelation we are making is in publicly acknowledging out polyamory. I've been a little worried that my husband won't really be OK with admitting openly that I am sexually active with someone else. But I also don't want to sugarcoat it. My girlfriend Liz will be in attendance and I've been contemplating if I should even be affectionate with her in front of our guests.
But then this happened today: just thinking out loud, I suggested the idea to him of us taking some sort of honeymoon after the ceremony. He liked the idea, but after thinking about it he said that there was no way he could get the time off of work with such short notice. I was about to just let it drop when he suggested that maybe I take a honeymoon with Liz instead.
I wasn't sure if he was serious at first, but then he went on to say that we should even make it known during the ceremony that Liz and I would be going on a honeymoon together. I guess he is actually more OK with this than I realized.
