So I saw the first Amazing Spiderman movie yesterday. I remember years ago I saw the trailer and thought meh about it but it was a lot better film than I thought it would be. It definitely had a lot of good parts whereas the first Spiderman film had a lot of silliness and I never liked it particularly. And yet, overall, I think I like the original films better (at least so far). Maguire had a definite geek persona whereas Garfield just seemed like a everyday man. The movies had their own voice a and a grander scope but the latest one seemed more like all the other gritty superhero movies. I'll see the second on Monday so we'll see then (even though I previously didn't want to because certain youtubers spoiled it for me).
I read the first chapter of A Scanner Darkly today. Seemed weird. Stuff just happened without any explanation.
And in my Bible readings we are nearing the end of Deuteronomy. I've decided to try something new, again, and besides the regular 4 pages read also a chapter of the gospels every day. I think it was the Pope who said we should read the Gospels every day.
