Money Pit in Hot town, summery in the city - 2017

In 1987 I went on holiday to Holland Centre Parks. I went with my mum and dad and my younger sister, they allowed us to invite a friend each too so I invited Lisa.

Lisa had been a friend at primary school and moved to northern Scotland but we stayed in touch and met up most summers (one direction or the other). As the teenage years went by she became a bit of a drama Queen and our friendship finally exploded after she ran away from home and came to us but then ran away from us causing my mum a ridiculous amount of stress that she really didn’t need and that we (my mum’s kids ) mostly avoiding causing.

Anyway, in 1987 we went to Centre Parks and one night we watched the Money Pit. We both thought it was a bit crap and, since then, I’ve wondered how Tom Hanks ended up in a rubbish movie.

Anyway, I’ve seen it on a couple of lists of great movies so I’m watching it again through the eyes of a 50 year old instead of a 16 year old…

I’m interested to see if I’ve changed my mind.
