Just wanted to stop in real quick and update. I don't come on here a whole lot...its just not the same as OD I guess lol.
I have just been doing the same ole. Working and more work, come home and try to do things with the kids since the weather is finally nice and we can do things. We live right down the block from a really nice pool/splash pad, and I have been trying to take the kids for the past week or so, but it hasn't been working out. The first time I tried, they were so full that we had to sign up on a waiting list and wait outside for a group of 3 to leave. We finally get in after about a hour of waiting, but we no longer get in the door and are told that the pool is closing because someone pooped in the pool....ARE...YOU...KIDDING?! It was gigantic adult size poop too. Some people are just disgusting. So we played around at the splash pad area for a little while and came back home. I tried to take them again the other day after work...we had gotten a free pass since we didn't get to get in the pool the first time and I was going to use it. Well, this time we walk in and find out that it's closing again...this time someone threw up in the pool. I am convinced that I live in a town where people are too dumb or too lazy to have control over their bodily functions. So instead of going to the pool, we have been swimming in a little pool that we bought for the back yard. Maybe if the rain holds out, I'll be able to take them to the beach or something.
But anyway, like I said I have been doing a lot of working. I FINALLY got a job interview for Tuesday out at the Henry County Hospital. I have been applying and trying to get on out there for MONTHS for a job in their lab doing phlebotomy since I love it and that's what my degree is for. I am excited that I was finally able to get them to at least give me an interview...Even if I don't get the job, at least I was a little closer to it this time, and I'll just keep on trying. I don't remember ever going for a job interview anywhere and not getting the job, so I hope that this is the same. I want it BAD. It'll save us so much money because I have been driving 25+ minutes to Middletown to work where I am working at right now, and buying gallon after gallon of antifreeze because my crappy little car has a leak. This job would mean more money, more sleep, and being closer to a new car!
