Counting Ships in Reconnaissance

First thing I look when I enter my cabin is to see if there is any new large ship berthed there - bright sparkles of sunlight dancing in the waves. Mostly disappointed - blame it on Covid or the new / more modern port ahead. Once berthed, a ship dwells there for a couple of days at least.

Walk to the window, when I hear a ship’s horns on very few occasions. I ve watched some gigantic ships berthing with their gingerly speeds. I ve seen cars / buses being exported driving up in files like ants and entering the belly. I ve seen ships setting out slowly in their voyages, dunno how long. Seen ships waiting to get a berth. What will be life of those who spend so long on waters ? Would they ve anything other than works?

I love to see the glittering lights the ships turn on by the time I leave the cabin.
