You’re 1,001 miles away
Are the skies there also grey?
The moon is nowhere to be seen
So we can’t stare together

The distance to you, over five million feet
Does rain also fall upon your streets?
The sun is nowhere to be seen
So we can’t stare together

Being so far from you is frightening
But can we see the exact same lightning?
The stars are nowhere to be seen
So we can’t stare together
