We got home from our 3 1/2 +weeks trip late Friday. Saturday was rest, relax and rest some more.
Sunday Bob woke up with his feet and hands swollen and shortness of breath. I called Mike who got here in about 20 minutes and took his dad to the ER. It seems that Bob ran out of his “water pills” several days earlier, and man-like, didn’t think it would matter if he missed a few days. Well, it did matter! And sitting in a car for three days certainly didn’t help the situation.
The ER doctor injected appropriate meds and plugged him into oxygen and sent him to the hospital by ambulance. They got the fluids off fairly quickly, but his oxygen level didn’t hold up without help. They sent him home Monday with needed meds and a tank. He’s doing fine with the tubes in his nose. The respiratory service came and brought two more portable tanks and a stationary machine. All I have to do to find him is follow the green tubing....
Today we’re going to have to figure out how we will get out and about as we need to go to the bank and get groceries.
I have much more to write about our visit at our daughter’s but that will have to wait for another time.

You will probably have to go without him. Hugs.

I hope he does not have to be on the oxygen long.
