I had class last night. I sometimes amaze myself at my ability to remember facts from the ridiculously long reading assignments. I go all Zen while reading textbooks, just hoping to absorb anything at all. When I was working on my BS I had to re-read every assignment a half dozen times and take pages of notes. Same thing in flight school and safety school. Now I seem to be able to form pictures about where certain subjects are in the book.

I like in class discussion better than the stupid online "discussion board" for the totally online classes. My only regret about this class is that there are no girls. Just a dozen middle aged men. It is good in that we can lighten up a bit on the political correctness. It is bad because there aren't any cute girls to look at.

Since class nights are the only days I drink coffee after noon, it makes going to sleep problematic. So I watch TV and get to bed at around 1am and sleep until I have to get up to use the facilities. 9am today.

The day started sunny and warm. It is hard to believe that just a few short weeks ago the ground was covered in snow.

I thought about going to the beach but Popham is ten degrees cooler than here, and at 65F it means Popham would have been a windy 55F. Plus big threatening clouds keep passing by.

My damned cat tried to kill me again. She has a habit of sleeping on the stairs at night. And I have a bad habit of walking around in the dark. Back in Maryland I was sure I had broken my hip after stepping on her and falling the rest of the way down the stairs. Last night i just twisted my ankle. It was only swollen this morning, so I am pretty sure I didn't break anything.

Amazing that lil miss knucklehead keeps doing that. If I ever came down on her chest with my full weight she would be a deader than a door nail.

Floki surprised me on the Vikings season finale. Poetic justice.
