In honor of our Lord’s Resurrection. I am so missing going to church. It’s been almost a year and half since we have attended worship. Everything has changed at our church in the meantime. Nearly all new staff, from Senior Pastor all the way down the line. Many old friends have passed on. Still under Covid guide lines. I need to figure that stuff out and get back on track. That, in itself would restore some normality in the boring routine around here. And do wonders for my growing depression.
As of today, we have a plan A and and plan B. Daughter-in-law had a tough week. Her 89 year old mom in North Dakota had a fall and injuries requiring surgery. DIL flew to Bismarck to be with her several days, returning home on Thursday night. The mom is doing okay, but is in for a long, tough recovery (shattered elbow and broken leg). DIL had appointment for her second Covid vaccination on Friday, or she would have stayed a couple more days. Nothing much she could do there anyhow.
Long story short: DIL not feeling well after the shot. Depending on how she feels today, we may go to their house for dinner, pooling our groceries, or she and son, or maybe just son, or maybe it’ll be only Bob and I, will have Easter dinner here at the apartment. Or (plan C) not.
But I will remember what Easter is all about. “HE IS RISEN!”
