Just realized I hadn't updated in a while... Well, the order STILL hasn't been signed by the judge. I know these things take time, but damn! Come on! I'm ready to finally be a family!!! This Friday our attorney and the PO are meeting with the judge, so hopefully this weekend we will be able to move in together.

Last week my dad was here visiting and we had my parents over for dinner. I wanted my house (or future house) to look decent enough for them so I took on the huge undertaking of redoing my kitchen and family room. I had found on Pinterest how to paint "faux granite" counter tops, so I did that and painted the cabinets, etc. I painted an accent wall and bought some new stuff for the family room and it looks SO much better. Less like a bachelor pad and more like a family home. Here are some before and after pics. Disregard the old ugly dishwasher in the pic, we are getting a new one delivered this week and we're getting a new refrigerator! I must be getting old because I am super excited about this fridge. It's stainless steel, french door style with the freezer on the bottom. I'll take new pics when I get those in.

I still have a few things to do in there... hang that mantle, and get new window curtains. Then I'll pretty much be done. I LOVE the new tv stand. I got it from Target and it looks so much better than the other one we had.

Here is the kitchen, Again, like I said ignore the dishwasher. There's still a few things to do as well like replace the faucet, the light fixtures, and get those stupid tile stickers off!

Did I mention I did all of this by myself? Bradley was of no help. In fact, at first he just complained about how he wasn't able to do his "meal prep" for his bodybuilding competition. Eye roll. Dude I'm so sick of hearing about that. I am supportive of him and everything he does, but this is getting so old. This is his second competition and three months. Prepping for this consumes all his time and its THE ONLY thing he talks about. I'm over it. I don't even like or approve of these contests. I think fitness should be for you, not for some random judges, judging you on a totally deprived body that is impossible to sustain! It's BS. To me these things are just attention-seeking and don't understand why a 34 year old husband and father feels the need to do them. What exactly are you trying to prove? It's really dumb. Sorry. And I could never tell him this either. The competition is on Saturday and I am counting down the days until it's over and I don't have to hear about it anymore.

I'm also counting down the days until this semester is over!!! I just took my A&P final and I'll be done with Chem 2 on Friday! Woohoo. I can not WAIT for Chemistry to be over. I hate that class. Then I get one week off from school and then I start the Dietetics Program! I'm super excited for it!

Here is another non-scale victory. Just a couple entries back I posted pics of me finally fitting back into my fav pair of size 6 AE jeans. Well now they are super loose: alt text

And a little progression pic (this is over an extended time and did NOT happen overnight) alt text

And a pic from Mother's Day which was a pretty good day. Minus Bradley not wanting to go out to eat just because of the strict diet he is on. I finally got so fed up with this consuming our lives that I just stated ignoring him (how mature right?) until breaking down and telling him how I feel totally unsupported and like everything is falling on me, he's being selfish, etc. He understood and supposedly things will change. alt text

This week is Cassidy's last week of school! Last week of her being a 4th grader! It scares me that my baby only has one more year until she's in middle school. Ugh. Why do they have to grow up??
