Ban Assault Rifles in Life After 60

You can have my guns when you pry them from my cold, dead hands! Yes, the world has gone insane. When it is easier to just get a gun and kill your perceived problem! I have no problem with stricter gun control, such as private gun sales must be registered. The truth and the Democrats know this, if we would enforce the laws on the books, perhaps some of this killing would stop.
In brief, somber remarks from the White House, Mr. Biden called on the Senate to pass a ban on assault weapons and to close background check loopholes, saying that doing so would be “common sense steps that will save lives in the future.”-----Biden and Harris along with the other Democrat want our guns, not just the Assault rifles, but all of them.
“Gun kill people.” I own 4 handguns, 1 shotgun, and 4 rifles. Out of the 9, none of them have killed anything. Guns don’t kill people..people kill people. And mine are loaded at all times. And yes, one of mine would be considered an assault rifle by some. The question asked by many, why do I need an AR-15? To even the odds. If we outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns....I will be an outlaw. I would rather be judged by a jury of 12 than carried by a group of 6!!!

I think the issues surrounding gun ownership and crimes committed with guns are more complex. I don't disagree with American's rights to own guns. Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa will be judged by 12 but 10 innocent people will be carried by 6 because of an alleged crime committed with a gun (he hasn't been tried yet and has the presumption of innocence). I think we must also look at how relatively easy it is for someone who may or may not have a mental illness to get and use a gun to commit a crime. He purchased his legally the same day of the shooting, if I understand correctly. I'm not sure a reasonable person would think it's okay to sell an unstable person a gun even if (s)he has the right. We clearly have to draw a line somewhere otherwise we might as well sell them to children, who, frankly, might be less dangerous than Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa. I don't think there needs to be a knee-jerk reaction but there does need to be some common sense involved, If people are the problem, as in people kill people, then maybe not all people should be able to obtain guns.
