I mentioned the fun we had a few entries back to Caffeine, and said
I don't know why nobody expects me to #### them right back. Well... Actually I do know.
See, there are people in the world who can only hold one point of view. Not coincidentally, these are the ones who get upset the most by me; they are the ones who, in the language of the entry in question, most require absolute societal consent.
So to them, I am wicked and evil and must be scourged, and they ride forth, paladins of virtue armed with the weight of moral superiority.
It never occurs to them that I may be uncowed by a moral superiority that they do not, in fact, have.
They expect me to cower and bow my head and pretend alongside them that their worldview is the only one that is and the only one that will ever be.
They. .. get surprised.
At this point they could discover that there are other points of view.
But most of them won't.
That's why they block me, and block you.
It's the only way they can keep pretending that the only people on the world are just like them.
