You were being disrespectful in that school. Very disrespectful. If I was around an Odinist or a Buddhist or Agnostic or anybody with their own belief, I'd respect them and their CHOICE in their god or gods or lack there of and do what they are doing out of RESPECT.
Yes, I am very impressed by the moral superiority you are exhibiting by respecting my choice of actions and gods.
I am impressed and humbled by the way you phrase my CHOICE to not pretend to worship your god as my lack of respect for your religion, while deliberately not considering that I was the one being forced to do things-- bow for your prayers, sing for your god-- and never did anything except fail to compromise my morals.
To lie for your religion.
You're probably going to block me as well writing me off as some bible thumper for telling you the truth as well. I don't care if anyone sees this or not. All that matters is that your eyes are opened to the truth.
Block you? Delete you? Oh no. I'm perfectly happy with you leaving this note. Leave more. I am not afraid of you. I will not hide anything. I will not pretend anything. This is who I am, and this is what I wrote previously, and if you can't see that you must be incredibly stupid.
That truth has nothing to do about you coming back to the belief. It has everything to do with how hateful, disrespectful, and hypocritical you are being.
Hypocritical? I have a clear set of moral principles. I declined to compromise them just because I, as a member of a secular government organisation, had been placed in a school built on evangelistic principles.
No, I was not hypocritical. I was morally consistent all the way. I didn't show one face "I will go along with your religion" and believe the other.

You are upset because I refuse to be hypocritical in a way that benefits you
You're oppressed? Have other religions tried to co-opt your churches and turn them to their own ends?. Have they slipped their words into your government via sockpuppets to criminalise people who are hurting no one?. Have they deliberately mobilised their followers to rally and fight against the attempts of your people to make the world a better place, a fairer place, a more enlightened place?
Have your grandparents been forcibly converted on their deathbeds to other religions by nurses and doctors and relatives who sneak into the room to tell them of the terrors of the afterlife that await them unless conversion happens? Have your families had the memorials of their parents desecrated by their custodians as a show of faith to the church they have converted to?
Have your families lost their very names and cultural traditions from encroaching religion?
No, Christian?
Because, you see, your religion has been doing that to my people.
You are the one doing the oppressing. And when I finally take the stick from your people and shove it back in your face, you clutch your pearls and scream that you're being oppressed.
You are either stupid. ignorant, or a lying hypocrite.
