Burping Burpees in Hot town, summery in the city - 2017

It’s 9:34am and I’ve been up for 3 hours. I like to do my workout early because it involves burpees and I’m shit at burpees. If the girls saw me trying, they would utterly take the piss! So I get up early. Anyway, I did my workout then I made coffee and porridge, I settled down and watched two episodes of Gilmore Girls and now I’ve come for a bath. And everyone else is still in bed! I’ve had three hours of peace people 😍

So, sugar. Last week I didn’t so much fall off the wagon as get catapulted violently via a sugary crystalline wonderland!! I had about five days of eating sugar filled crap until Wednesday. At about lunchtime on Wednesday (ash Wednesday this year) I just decided to give it up for lent. So that’s what I’ve done, got it under control once more.

Next week, when I start unit 2 of my course, I will have to organise my time a little better as T will need the laptop for college, I’ll have to be ready to work by 9 each day I reckon, as T generally starts at 11. I reckon that will work. It’s so nice to have something to be ready for, some aim, you know?

Speaking of aims, I have now finished week 3 of Back to Basics running. This week was the last week of the shorter runs getting longer - they reached 30 minutes this week. My longer run was 35 minutes. From here, the long run expands by 5 minutes per week while the short ones stay at 30 minutes so I think I will be trying to add a bit of pace to them. I’m so slow at the moment that, in my 35 minute run I only managed to run 2.99 miles (slow for me, not based on anyone else, we (who run) are all our own runners).

I just heard L’s bedroom door. I think it may have had more to do with the cat meowling outside her door. That bloody cat makes L play the hokey cokey all night! ”meooooow let me iiin!” “Meeeeoooowwww, let meeee oooouuuuutt,” “meeeooooooww, I wanna come in…” etc. I’ve suggested that L leave her door a little open but she likes her own little private space 🤷‍♀️ I can’t blame her.

The other cat always sleeps in our room and she’s so considerate. We’ve always said she’s part dog as R has trained her in certain ways. She knows by what he’s wearing as to whether she can lie on him or not (he doesn’t want cat kneading holes in his nice clothes) etc. Anyway, she sleeps on our bed and, when she wakes, she checks our eyes to see if they’re open yet!! If our eyes are closed she lies back down and waits, if they’re open she comes for a snuggle 🥰 I know this because sometimes I want some quiet, non snuggle time for a few minutes so I leave my eyes closed when she comes over to check. :)

So, what shall we do today..? I’m contemplating the mile walk to Morrisons rather than the quarter mile walk to Tesco because that’s how thrilling my life is 🤣🤣

What are your plans?

Good plan giving up sugar for Lent.
Luke and i went to the park early and im hoping to have a nap when he does. Then Tom has to go out to get a car key cut so my parents are looking after Luke for a bit so i have a break. Hope you have a good day x

I can’t let my cats come in the bedroom or I would never get to sleep . At 3 AM they want to play and bedevil Tess, our German Shepherd, who wants to join in . It’s a wild house here .
Today I have no plans except cleaning. Ugh ! Hoping I get to read my book too and possibly go to sleep at a decent time . I may need to think of something to cook . . How I hate cooking but sadly we need to eat :-)
