I'm still decompressing after National Rebuilding Day, which was this past weekend. The two job sites were as different as night and day, but the crews at both places were just delightful to work with, and treated me like some sort of celebrity. I'll take it. :)

While I wait for Kelly to get ready (Today is late-late start because of some sort of testing of upper classmen), I'm going to pop two of my before/after shots up here.

So I can remember.

The first place we worked on was a hoarder house. I'm sure it didn't start out that way, but isn't that how things are? You start out, and it's just one little thing you'll 'get to in a day or two', or a pile of mail, and then you step on that slippery slope, and the next thing, producers from TLC are knocking at your door, wondering whether you want to be on TV.

We're not finished there, but we made huge strides.

Before-During-Lincoln

The second site was a home daycare that just needed freshening up outside. Honestly, it was hard to photograph the 'before' on that site, because NOTHING looked broken, nasty, or out-of-place (although this was coming on the heels of walking through the hoarder house) But the outdoor play area got a new concrete slab poured, and a freshening of the play structure, and it's just a lovely space now.

New Concrete

(ahem, looks like my photoshop collage skillz need some work. I keep turning my head to look at the concrete photo, trying to make all the photo edges line up.)
