Dress Fittings in ...not all who wander are lost..

So I go today to get my dress fitted. I need this done by June 21 - more than enough time I say. Well she wanted $500 to hem the dress and another $150 to alter the bust part. I told her to just alter the bust part. There is NO WAY I'm going to pay $650 to alter a dress that cost me $150. I'm so mad that she wanted that much to do a VERY simple alteration on the bust. She was telling me that she has to take it all apart blah blah blah. Um - no you don't. You can do a quick and thorough basting that can be taken out. June 13 I get the dress back. That will give me enough time to do gather the front of the dress up some so i don't fall on my face while wearing it. $650 to alter a dress.... pffft... I'm in the wrong business, I swear it. GRRR
