I worked from home on Friday because our living room furniture was being delivered. We now have somewhere to sit in the living room. It's quite a novelty. I was determined to sit and watch something on tv just because I could. All I could find was "Snakes on a Plane". That's not a great film is it. I missed the start, which probably didn't help. I also gave up before the end. I saw quite a lot of people die in agony though, and heard quite a lot of very bad language.
I was slightly scared that the delivery men wouldn't be able to get the new sofa through the door. They were very good though and got it in with no great trouble. Apparently they often have to give up and take things back to the store because they can't fit. I wonder what happens then.
I spent much of Saturday on the allotment. I'm hoping this year I will have fewer problems with rabbits since I have remade the fence. I have planted some peas, brussel sprouts, onions, and a cherry tree. I also put some strawberry plants in. We have weeds, and some good looking garlic and potatoes coming.
I want to buy a new bicycle. My company offers a cycle to work scheme thing, which means I can buy one without paying tax on it. I'm going to do this, but I don't think I'll have it in time for the naked bike ride, which is very sad. I'm going to try anyway. maybe I can cut a deal with the bike shop. I can't decide if I want a road bike, or a hybrid. I really need to sort it out this week to have any chance of getting it before 14th June.
It seems Max Clifford has been found guilty of a bunch of sexual assault charges. Some of them appear to date back to the 60s. I find it all astounding, but I'm not going to rant about it again.
