I finally took Miles to the doctor last night and they said he just has a bad combination of a bad cold and teething, so he just needs time to get over what he has. In the past few days his nose went from congested to the point where he seemed like he could barely breathe to runny so I think that's an improvement at least. Hopefully in a week he will be much better.
I don't know why but Cody has been throwing tantrum after tantrum lately. It's so frustrating! The littlest things set him off. He has been so good for a while. I have no idea why this is becoming a daily thing. I keep hoping that the next day will be better. At least we are going to my parents place this weekend, so at least I will have a bit of a break.
We have had some really nice days lately. On one of them Miles was super crabby so I took the kids on a 2.5 hour walk just to get out in the nice weather, to get some exercise and so I wouldn't have to hold Miles for hours lol. I took them to the park for a couple days too. Miles went on the swing for the first time and loved it. And now of course today it snowed overnight. On April 15th! What is going on? All our snow was gone and I was hoping to keep it that way. Ugh.
Tomorrow night Mike and I are going to see Divergent at the theater. I'm so excited since I just read the book and really enjoyed it. Plus we haven't had a date night since January 4th so this is much needed. We are going when the kids will be in bed and I told Mike that if Miles wakes up and wants to be fed his mother can just try and rock him or something. I deal with him every day, even if he fusses we are only going to be gone a couple hours. He is old enough that he doesn't need food a million times a night so he will survive. I will try to feed him extra that night before he goes to bed.
I am so tired of the fact that Miles needs to be held so much. I feel like the only way I can get anything done is if I rush around while he is napping, which is usually when I like to sit and have a rest. Hope he changes soon when he eventually starts to crawl. At the moment he seems perfectly content with sitting up and playing with toys. I am at the point where I would actually love to spend a whole day cleaning and organizing since I never seem to get enough time for that kind of thing these days. sigh
