Unexpected Lovers
Chapter 1
Disclaimer: I got this idea from a fanfic I read/watched on youtube. I honestly don’t remember who wrote it or what the title was. I got the title idea from multiple Wattpad stories like Madasaku and Sasusaku. I will start with the idea from what I watched then I will adapt to my own standards. I do not own Naruto, Boruto, Fairy Tail, Inuyasha, Yashahime, Akatsuki No Yona, Boku No Hero Academia, Attack On Titan or any other franchises related or mentioned in this fanfic. Some ideas I have borrowed I can’t mention because I am not sure what I will use.
Sakura, Naruto, Sai, and Kakashi had just returned to the village after a mission to deliver a peace scroll to the magic land of Fiore.
“Let’s go to Ichiraku’s Sakura-chan!!!” The excited blonde exclaims.
“Umm I’m not that hungry Naruto sorry, besides I have to go get ready for a 12 hour shift at the hospital” Sakura replies. “Aww C’mon Sakura-chan you know you want to,” Naruto says, pouting but as he turns around he sees that everyone has already left. He thinks to himself “they never want to hang out with me” and decides to go home.
The next day Sakura wakes up early and decides to go for a walk. When she looks at her alarm clock she sees that it’s only 4:15 in the morning so there won’t be that many people out and about. She throws a sweater on and walks out into the crisp morning air. “Brrrr, It’s cold out here” she thought to herself. As she’s walking through the village she finds Hyuga Neji training in the park. She sits down and watches him as he gracefully moves around dodging shuriken and kunai. Somewhere in there she falls asleep and is woken up by a slightly irritated Hyuga prodigy. “U-umm h-hi Neji-san.” Sakura stammers nervously, not noticing that she is blushing. “What are you doing here?” Neji demands rudely. “I woke up early and went for a walk and saw you and I guess fell asleep.” Sakura states Matter of Factly. “Why is It any of your business?” she asks. “Hn” is the only response she receives as he walks home. She decides to do the same. She makes Breakfast for Kakashi, Yamato, and Guy. When her parents died they insisted and she’s lived there ever since. Sakura shouts “FOODS READY”. Everyone rushes downstairs with “thank yous” and “smells good”. Sakura smiles to herself as she thinks “they will always be like this”. She serves them and heads out to the hospital for her 12 hr shift. As she walks into the hospital she is interrupted by Shizune. “Hey Sakura, Tsunade-sama wants you for a mission.” she says kindly. “Ok thanks Shizune-san” And she walks to the Hokage’s office where she is greeted by the same Hyuga she had seen earlier this morning. When they get to the office Sakura knocks on the door. “Come in” Tsunade says as they walk in, Sakura and Neji both know that the mission is important and dangerous. “What is our assignment Hokage-Sama?” Sakura asks. “This is a S-Rank mission, failure is Not an option. You will be traveling back to Fiore, and you will join Fairy Tail, you will help them defeat a dark guild and then we will come to visit but by then at least Sakura will be attached to the guild.” Tsunade explains bluntly. “Shishou, when do we leave?” Sakura asks. “In a week first you have to go on a 2 day trial mission. You and neji will take a scroll back from the hidden sound ruins.” She says. “Hai!” both of them leave immediately and pack.
30 minutes later, they arrive at the gate and leave.
“You’re actually on time, I’m slightly impressed” Neji states from behind his ANBU mask. “Well I’m not a complete idiotic pervert either am I?” Sakura retorts questioningly. Neji silently smirks behind the mask and thinks to himself “so she’s stubborn and has an attitude, when did she change from that annoying fangirl to this strong, independent woman?” Neji snaps back to reality as sakura punches him because she’s been trying to get his attention for the past 10 minutes. “NEJI GET YOURSELF TOGETHER WE HAVE A MISSION!!!!!” Then Sakura casually walks up to him, picks him up, and jumps out of the village with Neji hanging irritatedly over her shoulder. About thirty minutes later they come across a clearing where she stops and puts him down.
