I don't care for sports. I could happily spend the rest of my life never watching any more of them, but since my city's hockey team is in the playoffs I've been watching that. And it's sad. Mostly it's sad to see all the fans get really excited, only to lose in the last few minutes.
Completely changing topics, it's always been an item on "my list" to try veganism for a month. Not because I care for animals, but because it strikes me as highly challenging. So today I decided to start trying. And man am I hungry! For lunch I had Chipotle. Just rice, loads of black beans, veggies, salsa, lettuce, and guac. I picked off most of the guac because it's too oniony for me. Usually I would have skipped the veggies and guac and salsa completely and loaded up on sour cream and the honey vinaigrette. But honey isn't vegan and of course dairy is out.
And, you know, it wasn't bad. It was fine. Just didn't really hit the spot for me. I was hungry well before dinner. Which was a very disappointing edamame hummus with bread and chips. I figured it would be regular hummus with some edamame mixed in, but it was basically just mushed edamame. No chickpeas. Gross.
So we are down one day in this 31 day experiment. Maybe I'll come out on the other side scratching my head wondering why I ever did it at all.

Was the bread vegan? I know some is and some isn't. I could never do it, I love my meat and dairy too much.
