Anyone understand why the space to type an entry here is barely larger than the space for the title? I keep wanting to scroll down but just hit the bottom of the page....

Sunday is often adventure day for me. It's the one day when I'm off and usually have no other commitments. So I decided to make the most of it and enjoy a day out of the apartment with Jen (we've been cooped up a bit lately.

Oh wait....this was Wednesday? I often gets my days off confused.....

So Wednesday I had planned of taking Jen to a surprise place which I'm not revealing because I don't reveal my secrets. Woke up, showered, went to find out something on the computer when Jen looks at me and flips out. Apparently half my face had a rash and my eye was really puffed up (like the inside of it). Considering I have one eye to work with here, it isn't something to fool around with. She strongly requested I call my doctor because I was taking medication for a sinus infection and possibly it was having a bad interaction somehow with my eye. I called them and they agreed to switch my medication as a precaution, although they had no clue if this was the problem or not. I'm not thrilled about paying for a new medication, especially since I had two or three pills tops of this one, but not my biggest concern at the moment. I also called the vision center at Wal Mart and got squeezed in for an appointment later that morning. General rule of thumb: When people around me are concerned, it increases my fears and concern; I told Jen this and she started calming down to try and calm me down. I was scared; never had anything like this happen before. The redness didn't concern me, but the white of my eye was swollen and caused real fear inside me. I nervously drove to the vision center, by which point my eye was improving from what it had been an hour ago, which is good. Jen showed the vision doctor pics she had taken of the eye at its worse and was told by her it was likely allergies and prescribed a medicine to help alleviate it.

After holding off on immediately getting the prescription, my original plan was put on hold and I had to think up an alternative on the fly. I was hungry and although Jen usually doesn't do fast food, we agreed on Dairy Queen for lunch, where I got an Oreo Cheesecake Blizzard (fantastic!) and Jen split her fries with me. While eating, I figured out what I wanted to do (yay!) First stop was getting new windshield wipers for my car (because mine suck). After getting the people at Auto Zone to install them for me we went to the park to find some geese.

We found goslings!

They were so cute too, and the parents soooo protective. Completely effective sentry duty.

We also found these two quackers!

Then off to the main event. I drove her to Grapevine Mills Mall to go to the aquarium there. I managed to buy tickets on her phone while keeping it a surprise. Both our phones were virtually dead, so not much photomaking; she took a couple. I actually do not remember what we did after getting home late. I just know it was late; like the mall was closing and stuff.

Next time: the actual Sunday adventure.....
