Goose and the Laundry in Moving Into a New Nest

Laundry has always been a mechanical affair for me. Arrive, use one of the two or three washers I always use, put in the $4.50, use the same detergent and fabric softener, sit in the same one or two chairs across from the washer, pull out my book, and listen to music on my phone. I never thought of ways I could be more efficient, and seeing as I wait until I absolutely need to do laundry to do it, there's always a lot to do and moreso lately it overwhelms my old system. So I'm sitting about reading, putting a quarter in every 8 minutes because this giant mass of clothing humanity will not dry, and wondering why I woke up so late. Wednesdays I like to lounge about, if only for a few hours, and while laundry is by no means stressful, it isn't casually cleaning while watching the Steve Wilkos show or whatever catches my fancy lounging.
So it hits me while loading everything back up in the car........why don't I just split up the clothes and run two dryers simultaneously? There's no dearth of them; I don't go during busy times. I doubt a couple extra quarters (or maybe even none, accounting for less time run per dryer in this system) would break my bank. So I think I'll do this next time. I wish innovation would hit me more often.
And yes, it's a compulsive guy thing to carry everything up the apartment stairs in one trip. It's a ego/convenience thing. This included several shirts on hangers, two failing quickly trash bags, and a few loose extras. It went off almost without a hitch.

I never heard of the "compulsive guy thing" before. Interesting.
