Can you see find without them? If not, then my answer is to be able to see. That's pretty important :-P
If you can see fine, my tentative vote is off. I like glasses, but you look more mature without them (by those pictures), more...put together? In control? Plus, if he is used to seeing you in glasses, it's a physical sign of change.
