NojoMo 21*update in 2020

I’m not doing the prompt today. My mom fell down twice this week, and this morning she fell down a third time and was not able to get up so the nursing home is transferring her to the hospital and my sister is on her way to meet her there. I will be on pins and needles until I hear if they’re broken bones or anything. Apparently she is conscious and responsive, so it does not sound like she hit her head.

Y’all know my relationship with my mom has always been complicated, and she has progressed far enough into her Alzheimer’s that she would not necessarily know me even if I was there - but it just feels weird not to be rushing down there. I’m just waiting to see what’s happening.

Update:
Turns out it was a UTI. They did lots of tests and scans, checked for broken bones and brain bleeds and even to see if she’d had a heart attack - and then they noticed she had a pretty alarming amount of blood in her urine, and determined that was the issue. They gave her IV antibiotics and sent her back to the home this afternoon.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be over here with wine and Xanax.
