What is one recipe you’d like to attempt before the end of the year?

One of my coworkers showed me a recipe yesterday for a type of holiday cookie that I’ve never made, but it looks delicious and amazing - and of course right now I can’t think of what it’s called. She hates to bake but her grandmother used to make these every Christmas so I told her I’d give it a shot. I’ll have to get her to show me the recipe again next week!

Speaking of work, today is the first Wednesday in ages that I haven’t had to work, and it’s FABULOUS. I love my job, but I’ve been working extra hours since we reopened in May/June and it’s been taking more of a toll on me than I thought. Plus having to work with the laziest coworker on Wednesdays really made the job less enjoyable on that particular day. Now we’re on opposite schedules again, I’ll be working Saturdays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, while she “works” on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I do feel bad that our new coworker has to work with her, but I hope for her sake she is better at setting boundaries than I am! And our boss is starting to feel better, so hopefully she’ll be back in another week or two - though I hope she doesn’t push herself, I’d rather her work from home while she’s recovering and come back in December when she’s really had time to heal.

And now I’m going to do non-work-related things for the rest of the day :)
