Tell us about your writing habits.

My writing habits are a pile of undisciplined garbage. I write when I need an outlet, or sometimes to keep in touch (with myself, with friends, with family). I’ve always wanted to write some kind of memoir but I’m not sure what the point would be. I’d have to call it “Stories that aren’t mine to tell” because big sections would be about things that don’t directly involve me but affected me deeply.

I should really get a prompt book or something to get me started. Maybe next year, LOL.

Unrelated: there’s been a COVID outbreak at Rob’s office. Last Monday, he went in and got sent home because someone on his floor had tested positive, and they were requiring a two-week quarantine for anyone who’d come into contact with that person in the previous week. So he’s been home for almost two full weeks, and had two negative tests - but 4-5 other people in the company have since had positive tests, and they closed the entire office today for deep cleaning and had everyone come in for a mandated test (Rob’s third in two weeks) this morning. They did the test in the parking garage, because they’re not letting anyone in the building.

Someone has also tested positive at David’s school, but for HIPAA reasons they won’t tell us who (student, teacher, ?). David told me several of his friends/classmates have been sent home for two-week quarantine but so far he’s not been sent home, so I’m assuming he didn’t have any direct contact with this person.

I really hope we get a vaccine soon. I’m really surprised we haven’t had any cases at the library yet. I should go knock on some wood now that I’ve said that…
