chores and errands in keeping it postive

I brought down the bedding to the laundry machines in the basement. I got one machine working, but not the other. It kept rejecting the last quarter. I took the clothes out, filled another machine... drat!! Then I realized it was a Canadian quarter... how it knew the difference, I have no idea. So I went back upstairs and got another load to fill that machine... and put in a quarter from the old old USA!

I am hoping that if I wash the winter blankets... then it won't get cold again... I can use a summer blanket doubled up... hoping.

In going up and down (yes, there IS an elevator), I also brought down the trash, garbage and used cat litter - 6 bags in all. I have one more trip to pick up the bedding and towels from the dryer.

One of the items I washed was a winter jacket. It's shaped like a denim jacket, but in beige corduroy with a "sherpa" lining. It's too BIG! I had gotten it years ago through the Marlboro cigarette promotions, so it was essentially free (no, I did NOT smoke, but found the packs/proofs where people had discarded them). When it dries, it's going in the donation bag.

I've had a blue denim jacket off and on for 40 years now. I've always loved them.

You know it's spring, when you break out the denim jacket. Mine is so "worn in", I probably can't wear it any more. It's a Wrangler and has a ZIPPER. And huge pockets. I love it. I wear it for the swagger factor... LOL
