FEB. 12 TUES. 2024, PRESENT DAY
CRASH:
I woke up and looked at my clock, I was late for school! I ran to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, quickly ran downstairs, put a waffle into the toaster, and got my things. By the time I got back to the kitchen the waffle was done so I snatched it out of the toaster and shoved it in my mouth. I was halfway out the door when I got my backpack on and waved bye to my dad. When I was running down the hill to get to school, I started to worry if I was actually going to be late, when I started thinking about it I didn’t notice that there was a bush in front of me! The bush isn’t what made me fall though, it was my shoelaces! I forgot to tie them before I left and I didn’t realize they were still untied. I tripped on my shoelace and fell face first into the sidewalk. I didn’t feel anything other than the skinned knee I just got from the fall, I thought I was fine. I looked down at my feet to see what caused the fall and found out that my shoes were untied. After I tied my shoes I proceeded to run to school. Just before the doors closed I slipped inside, today was the second day of 10th grade and Stephen and I were in the same classes. I quickly caught up to him but when I tapped on his shoulder his expression wasn’t what I expected. When he turned to me, in a couple of seconds, he had a horrified look on his face.
He couldn’t seem to explain it so he decided to take me to the bathroom. When we went inside he told me to look in the mirror, and there I saw it, a big cut leading from the right side of my nose to the bottom of my right ear. I could see why he looked so shocked, it looked like I was bleeding liters of blood! When I told him I didn’t feel anything his expression changed from horrified to confused he told me to grab some paper towels and put them over the cut because we needed to stop the bleeding, so I did. At this point he just told me to go to the nurse’s office and tell her what happened. When I got there and showed her the cut she gasped in fright. After she cleaned it she told me it was deeper than it looked and called my dad so he could bring me to the hospital to get stitches. Nothing much happened the rest of the day but I couldn’t go to school until tomorrow.
FEB. 15 FRI. 2024
Today I wasn’t late to school, as a matter of fact, I actually got to go to school. The cut was sealed but now I was going to have a big scar on my face. I went to school, and as always, science felt like it took AGES. The rest of the day went by normally and after school I didn’t have any homework. Then I realized today was Friday so I could do whatever I wanted over the weekends! When I got home I immediately changed my clothes and hopped on my PS5 and started playing Mortal Kombat. A couple minutes later I told Stephen to get on Halo and called Alex and asked her to get on too. For a few hours Alex, Stephen, and I played Halo but when Glitter went upstairs to Alex’s room and kept on asking her if she could have a turn, we decided to play something we could all play at once. Our dad let me and Stephen go to Alex’s house and we played Splatoon 2 so Glitter could play. Around 10:30 our dad came over to pick us up. “I guess that’s the end of the fun for today.” I told Glitter. “But you can come over tomorrow, right?” she replied. “Maybe, maybe not,” I said.
