Yep last Friday evening set out a hundred noodles in the bayou behind my house. Actually runs through my pasture. We ran them Sat. morning and caught a basket full of catfish. But, we also caught a soft shell turtle. Absolutely the biggest soft shell I have ever seen. This thing weighed around 12 lbs. Oh yeh! Made a sauce p quante friday night and He was gone. Had about 4 lbs of the sweetest turtle meat there is. Mkaes the best gravy in the world. I dare to say I eat way to much . got all the fish ccleaned too. My buddy took them all home for His freezer with the promise He would make make me a covillion'. Ohn yeah baby! More rice and gravy
Report on farm is all good. Hatching RIR chicks and Crnish game chicks every weekend. Putting them in the brooder. Folks buying them faster than I can hatch them. Planted some in my garden theis week. 6 cucumber plants-5 tomatoes- egg plants- bell peppers-bananna sweet peppers. I love to cook with the bananna peppers. Like to eat them raw with my dinner too. So i will be tilling the rest as time comes to plant other stuff. Hauling compost from barn by the trailer loads and dumping in garden. Lots of manure now that we calves again. Goes with the LLama-goats-rabbit-chicken. Have to compost it first and that takes a year. So i am working on saving next's years now.
Going crappie fishing in the morning. (Friday) drown some che'n-eres. (shiners aka minnows). Let yall know how that turns out. god bless and pray for me. all is good. remember my SIL in your prayers. Love you guys....
