More Ridgeway running in Hot town, summery in the city - 2017

I did a short section this morning and, even with fewer than four miles I became quite dehydrated!! I devoured my bottle of water when I got back to the car.
There were so few people around, so little traffic noise that I felt as though I was the only person in the world. Until I had to leap out of the way! I was running downhill and in the background I gradually became aware of the whirring sound a bike makes as it plummets downhill. I glanced behind, saw him coming at full pelt and leapt to the side. But he was soon gone and I was back to being alone again. Alone is such a great feeling!!

It is. I went at 5am (already hot 😭) as my usual at the moment and just passed a couple of people walking dogs and the usual guy I see riding his bike!

When I heard him he was too far to shout. If I had been bike I would have been doing exactly the same thing.

cyclists here do not have a good reputation bc of their lack of respect for anyone else using the paths here, it's a shame really,
