SUITS ME in LIFE OF A D.O.M. WIDOWER LIVING ON THE NJ SHORE

**Friday night I went out directly from work on a quest to get a new suit. I had been talking to0 Doris during the day and she asked if I wanted or needed help in picking one out. While I am quite capable of choosing the suit admittedly I have problems in matching the other items, necktie shirt and pocket swatches . I took up her offer of help and off we went. In slightly more than an hour I was the proud owner of a suit, two shirts, two neckties and two pocket swatches, with the suit being altered to my dimensions. The promise is that the suit will be ready on Thursday after 6 PM. Later we had a nice dinner and even luckier the place had a dance floor for after dinner . When we danced Doris left no doubt in my mind as the direction we were headed. Following the direction lead me back to her place and I did not have to use my GPS for the trip. Saturday was sunny and cool and I mostly straightened up about my house until evening and then went bowling with some of my AA Friends. MY knee acted up and prevented me from scoring well. Sunday began with an AA Meeting followed by breakfast with two beginners from the Saturday Meeting. I invited them to come with me for two reasons. One was to demonstrate that it is possible to have fun while not drinking. This is an idea foreign to newbies who feel their entire life has died as they are unable to think that way about the life they are entering. The other reason is that I hate to sit at a counter and this way I could sit at a table. With any luck by next weekend they will connect with enough women in the program to join them for breakfast. Athena, my future tenant , stopped by the house to see what she is going to bring when she moves in next month. She choked up in telling me how much she appreciated this chance and I felt really good about it. Normally she is bubbly and cheerful and I hope to see that part of her really soon. Taking advantage of the sunny afternoon I planted 8 decorative grasses, 9 Foxglove plants and three Giant Dahlias the balance of my catalogue order. My planting caused my knee to holler " Enough for now " so I rested and then cooked dinner. The 7:30 PM AA Meeting finished off my day in good fashion .
