I took the boys to visit my parents this past weekend since they have been enjoying themselves escaping the horrible weather in Florida for the last 3 months. We had a great time but it wasn't too much of a break for me since Miles stuck to me like glue. The moment I went out of his view he started to cry. He let my parents hold him for a moment or two briefly but then he'd cry and I would have to take him. The poor baby has been sick with a cold for 3 weeks now! We are all better except for him. He has a congested nose, is more tired than usual and has been feverish on and off. Some days he will refuse 1 to 3 nursing sessions and he's eating way less purees than he used to. I thought of bringing him to the doctor but I would be embarrassed if they said he just has a cold and will get over it eventually. The last two days he has had diarrhea also. Fun times! Especially with him being up more in the night which is causing me to feel extra exhausted :(
The weather is still not the greatest. I feel like we have to keep waiting a little longer for warm weather and it just sucks to have a bit of a warm day and then a bunch of cold ones. Like Friday is supposed to be nice and warm but it is supposed to pour all day so what good is that? I am feeling so blah and annoyed at still being stuck inside and that as well as the trip to see my parents place has had me not eating the greatest lately. It certainly didn't help that while at my parents place we had fish and chips one night, Thai the next, pizza the next day and burgers at my brothers for the party. Ah well. I am sure I will be more motivated when it finally gets warmer. And it will be so nice to have a happier baby when Miles finally gets over this cold. Omg!
Anyway, while I was at my parents we basically hung out with the kids and I got addicted to my husbands Hay Day game on our tablet that I brought lol. Cody ate like a starving child while he was there because they obviously don't have the same food I have so new food or stuff he hasn't had in a while is extra delicious I guess lol.
The birthday party was enjoyable even though Miles was cranky. I just wandered around with him on my hip and he had a couple naps. My niece got spoiled as usual. Cody was helping her open presents and she didn't seem to mind. I think it's funny that she is 5 and Cody is 2.5 and he is only a few inches shorter than her. Anyway, the baby is up. Gotta go!
