Orson Well’s 1984 may have been more prophetic than fiction. And that is scary. While I don’t believe everything I read on social media or hear on the National News, there are some disturbing things being proposed.
Let me start with the old, “I can make more in unemployment than I can working.” If that is the case we need to re-think this whole extra $600.00 fiasco. While we need to help people, let’s not reward them. Like feeding a bear, if we keep doing it, they can’t survive on their own.
Government overreach? I think we need to come up with a new phrase, more like Government Control. Here is one the Democrats are trying to sneak passed the people, verified by Fact Check: Section 803 of Johnson’s H.R. 5717 details the changes that would be made to taxes on firearms and other related items.
It would make pistols, revolvers and other firearms taxable at 30%. Shells and cartridges would be taxable at 50%.
I am not sure about your part of the country but ammo is non-existant right now. Popular calibers like 9mm, 38 special, 223 fly off the shelves faster than they can stock them. And gun sales are off the charts!

I was thinking the other evening that each person getting unemployment should get the amount of money monthly that they would be receiving if they had started getting their SS checks.

Yeah, and let the Congress get the same amount of retirement we commoners do!
