Fuller House in Random Thoughts

I had been holding out on watching the last two episodes cause I’m a sap, and didn’t want it to end. I’ll skip the details incase anyone who reads this hasn’t watched it yet, but I think the ending was perfect. I doubt they will, but it would be nice to see an extended follow-up episode in a couple years, to see how everyone is doing.

I grew up watching Full House. Not gonna lie, always had a crush on Stephanie. Heh, still do. I know typical sitcom, everything is fixed in 30 minutes, but it was always the right amount of goofy and wholesome to keep my attention. Fuller House has been no different, except there weren’t as many heart-to-heart moments this go around as there were in Full House. I was kinda hoping for that, but I guess they wanted to keep the mood lighter. Don’t get me wrong, there were some emotionally turbulent moments with heart-to-hearts in Fuller House, but not as often. Overall, it’s been a good show, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. Even Kimmy’s completely brainless moments.

I’m a little annoyed neither of the Olsen’s could be bothered to pull the fence post out of their ass and reprise the role of Michelle. It would have been good to see her show up at least in the last episode to show the family is still strong. But no, Mary Kate and Ashley have their own lives and are too big a deal to be bothered to reprise a role that many people loved. I mean, if not for the character Michelle, nobody would have a fucking clue who the Olsen’s are… Or were…whatever. Ingrates.

In the way of casting, i think they did great with Soni Bringas playing Ramona. She’s a genuinely good actress, but Ramona I think was switched at birth. There’s no way she’s actually the child of Kimmy and Fernando. Okay, yeah, she got Fernando’s good looks, but she’s WAY too smart for either of them. And it’s not like that skipped a generation, cause they sure make it seem like both Kimmy’s and Fernando’s parents aren’t the brightest bulbs in the chandelier. Then there’s Jimmy.... Lol

But I think having the smart ones balances out the goofy ones. Kimmy balances out DJ and Steph, Ramona balances out Jackson and Fernando, Max balances both smart and goofy, and Steve balances out Jimmy and Matt. Does that make sense? No? Well, fuck it. Ehm…

But now it’s over, again, and I feel like I’ve lost something. A big something. A VERY big something. I’m not sure what it was, but I clicked in with the Tanner’s way back when. To an extent, I felt like a part of their family, and them a part of mine. It’s been that way again. I feel like I’ve not just had them on my TV screen, but in my living room, on my couch. But now that’s over. I know I can go back and rewatch it, but it’s not the same. I feel like I’ve just said goodbye to them, had the group hug, walked up the two steps and out the big red front door, and I won’t see them again for several years.

I know I’m not the only one to get attached to fictional characters, and I know it sounds stupid, but there it is.
I give Fuller House ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and 👍👍.

Geez...…….. we walked within sight of what was supposedly the "Full House" residence when we went to SF on vacation last year.

The house does exist, but I can't remember street name. I think they've done some remodelling, and the last I saw, it had a purple front door that was fairly modern.
