Happy March! in My life both public and private!

Hard to believe it is March already. But it has been so warm the last week or so it seems like May here. And I am not complaining. Was 75 one day this week. About 50 out now. As I said I can handle this!

Running a St Paddy’s Day 5K today and going to the parade in Morristown. Always a fun day. Only thing is the bars get so crowded. And I know I sound so old but I just hate all the “kids” getting drunk and acting like asses. This from a 28 yo. Go figure? But it is a nice course to run and the parade is fun. All the bars are open and its just a fun day. Especially when the weather co-operates. Have spent most of February on the treadmill so It will be nice to get outside and run in a race. Ran a Super Bowl 4 miler in the same town. Nice place to run. And I love the energy of a running crowd.

A couple of friends of mine are running today. And my guy friend Steve is also joining me but not running. Have also signed up for a 1/2 marathon in May and one in June. I find if you sign up for races it makes you train for them. I do enjoy running and always feel good about myself after I run.

Have to decide whether to help out w/ the girls softball team this season. You don’t make a lot of money but it is fun. Only problem is they have changed the rules on travel. I used to be able to drive to the away games and not take the bus. As long as one coach was on the bus it was considered okay. Now the Board has changed the rules and anyone who coaches must take the bus to and from games. I hate bus rides. Got really sick of them when I was in hs and played sports. So I may ask if I can only go to home games. But I know that is selfish and not fair to the other coaches and the players. I only started doing this a few years ago when the girl who was coaching the team was pregnant and needed an assistant. Her and I went to hs together and are friends. And she has asked me to help again. Just not sure what to do.

Mu guy friend Steve coaches the boys Varsity tennis team at the school he teaches at. He really enjoys it. He also coached the Boys Hockey team at his hs. That is an awful lot of work and I give him a lot of credit for it. Long hours, crappy bus rides and almost no pay. Have to love it to do it. But all schools need people like him to help out.

Well time to start to get ready to head out. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Will do another FO entry and add some pictures and talk a little about what is happening w/ my personal life. May be a little too adventurous for those under 18 years old!
