We had plans to do a 6 hour road trip seeing lots of mountains scenes. From Hanna, WY to Rawlins through Saratoga, WY to Medicine Bow Routt National Forest to Laramie, WY. I was ready and ready to go.
Had a nice picnic lunch made. Beef Hot-dogs with corn chips with Salsa Con Queso and salad stuff and my fave drinks. I had some veggies but they were all gone due to me eating them the last few days. (SIGH Laughing too)
Boyd went to get gas in the car and once he got home all the lights on the car was not working he did a diagnostic testing and NADA.
SO 45 minutes of frustration he can’t figure out why all the lights in the car is KAPOOT!
BY the way he is a Certified Automobile Technician. SO he looked all the possibilities and checked every details and still couldn’t figure it out. SO an hour later.
I told him its GOD way of telling us not to make the trip today, its not our day to get out. SO relax and lets figure this out.
My Dakota was all happy to go and get some sight seeing too as we had plans to do some hiking a long the way too.

OH about the fishing, we got lazy on that one, we ended up doing yard work, we pulled several more bushes out. I wanted it done. AND we were ready for a nice cool day of exploring today.

SO I guess its a day of LAZINESS.

IS that what you wanted us to do GOD!!

OK SO BE IT!

I hope y”all have a wonderful SUNDAY.
I will find something to do after-all!!

Sorry you weren’t able to make that long road trip. What a great drive it sounds like! Another summer weekend is coming up, however.

I loved traveling across Wyoming years ago during my solo road trips around the country. One of favorite places was Kemmerer and seeing the original J.C. Penny store and Also driving along the Hams Fork River. Amazing wide-open desert and plateau country. Loved it and remember it like it was yesterday. On another trip I stayed in Worland at a really nice old-fashioned motel, and had breakfast the next morning in the restaurant at the Greybull Hotel. I probably should have stayed there. That’s living!
