I know it has been awhile since I was here. I am not even sure the last time I was here. The last few months have been rough ones for me. It just seems I get one medical issue fixed and another comes up. I had my back surgery in February and all is great with my back. I could not be happier with the outcome from that. But while in pt for my back the issue with my right elbow and shoulder became more apparent. I was having trouble with my elbow before I ever left work. I didn't see the doctor for it. I thought once I was done with work it would get better. Well, it didn't work out that way. While attempting some of my exercises for my back it really started to bother me. So I finally mentioned it to the doctor. She said the problem is with my biceps tendon in my shoulder and there are issues with my elbow. So I finished pt for my back and now I am in pt for my shoulder. It has been several weeks now. And one day it seems better and the next I feel like I am back at square one. They have been using massage, and also administering some kind of medicine directly into the sore area with ultra sonic pad thing. Sorry for the bad description. She calls it Ionto therapy. Iontophoresis with Dexamethasone. That is what it is. It seems to help for a bit. Now today my main PT person suggested we start moving it more with some band exercises. I am really hoping that helps because I am so over pt 3x a week. I want the shoulder to heal.
The other thing dragging me down lately is that I have had some bad problems with my stomach. At one point I got so dehydrated from using the bathroom continuously my blood sugar shot up to 550. And I ended up in the ER for 7 hours. They thought I had a virus. My doctor thinks it's my gallbladder. I Had all the tests on my gallbladder. Utra sound and ct scan. They didn't show anything. But the pain from my belly button up to my breasts was so bad I as almost doubled over. That went on for 14 days. I have had some loose stools off and on for the last few days but over all the pain is gone. This is a mystery because this comes and goes. Today I seem to be having a good day.
Actually I haven't been sleeping well for months. And I think that was affecting me in so many ways. So on Saturday night I decided I would take a couple tylenol pm's to help me sleep. I woke up Sunday very well rested. So I have been taking one each night since and I am feeling much better. So I think not having a good nights sleep for so long was really affecting me a lot. I will continue with the tylenol pm until I see my doctor May 27th and then I am going to see what she thinks about giving me a sleep aid. Or if she wants me to continue to use the tylenol. My arm is not as sore, no more loose stools since, and my blood sugar is almost normal again. It could be a coincedence or not. But I want to feel good. I am so tired of having something wrong with me all the time.
So far no luck on the job front. I am applying online a lot of different places. And at a few temp. agencies. So I hope something comes up soon. My severance money runs out some time in July which is right around the corner. It is so scary. I can draw unemployment for awhile but I had really hoped to have something by this time. The back surgery and the arm have held me back a bit. Which totally sucks.
I have been trying to read a lot still. I have also watched a lot of my favorite tv shows. They have been having season finales'. Like "Revenge". Are there any other Revenge fans here? What an ending. And now how long do we have to wait. "Resurrection" was another one. I started out not liking that show then got hooked. And that ending was strange. "Scandal" was another. "Nashville" has their season finale' on Wednesday. And I think "Grey's Anatomy" is coming up too. Then it will be reruns or summer fill in shows. Which will give me more time to read. Unless i get hooked on another show.
I just finished the book "NYPD-RED2" by James Patterson and a co writer. I am in the middle of "Everybody's Got Something" by Robin Roberts. And then next will be the new Nora Roberts book: "The Collector". What are you all reading now?
We have had some wicked weather here already. Sunday it stormed all day long. Lots of rain, wind, and hail. Today it is overcast and cold. It's about 20 degrees below normal today. And last week we had temps in the middle 80's. Crazy weather.
I have been thinking about our annual Florida trip this year. I really want to go very badly. As does my girlfriend. But not sure what is going to happen. I have money put away. I would like to go before my severance package runs out so I can really concentrate hard on looking for a job. I need my yearly fix of the beach. I pray we can work it out somehow and go before the end of July. But if we can't we can't.
Ok, enough rambling from me. I am outta here. Have a great evening. I will try to get back here sooner next time.
ciao, Sheri

So glad to hear from you. I was getting worried. Sorry to hear your feeling so crappy. It would be nice if you did make it down here. Indian Rocks is only 15 - 20 minutes a way from where I live. I hope you feel better.
