So, while “Marco Poloing” with my Mom’s group again, I realize something…
Bear with the backstory…
So my Michael’s order from yesterday? (go back one entry if you’re confused) I thought it had everything I’d need in it…
Welp, I was wrong…
Yes, you have permission to laugh at this one…
I ordered canvases, and the hard canvas panel thingies (clearly I know all the artsy words), and a pack of 1” & 1.5” brushes to paint my background, and a pack of chalk (to sketch before painting), and a pack of palettes and paint knives, and a set of the brand of paint I know I like in like 64 colors (or something crazy like that).
Do you know yet what I forgot to order?
Did you happen to catch my big mistake?
Cause I didn’t… Until I got home.
The only BRUSHES I ordered were for the background.
SOMEHOW, I didn’t order any actual small paint brushes to paint the flippin’ sunflower with!!!

In any event, my Michael’s order last night was over $100.
Well then today, I had to order more brushes.
Yanno, so I could do the damned thing.
Well, the multi-pack of paint I bought? It’s teensy tiny little tubes. Like the one tube of purple that was in it BARELY covered the canvas. So I added a bigger tube of the same purple and then added a bunch of the smaller (cheaper) bottles in a bunch of other colors.
So tonight my Michael’s order was like $64.
My Mom’s group was all like “my husband would KILL me for spending that much money in two days” and I’m over here like…
My bills are paid.
I’m gonna do me and not have to worry about someone else telling me how I should be spending my money.

And yes, I know having a husband wouldn’t be all bad. And I know some husbands don’t care how much money you spend where as long as the bills are paid. But it’s also nice to know that that’s something I don’t have to worry about…

We jointly handle the finances. Being a family of three (for now) with two pets makes our budget tiiiiight. We have to budget for everything. Like right now we're saving up to purchase a new mini blinds for our front window because the one there won't open anymore... We have to raise it. It's gonna be like $70 because our front window is sooo huge. It'll take us a bit to have that money outright.
