One project down in AZsunlover

Only a hundred left to go. Today I had a guy from work come over and take care of the weeds in my yard, the whole big pile of dirt I hadn’t shoveled away, and trim a bush in the front yard. It is SO different I am actually kind of shocked. Now there is nothing but flat yard with gravel and the trees in the three corners. I clearly need something out in the yard. I think I’m finished spending on an area, and it creates even more. Oh well, that’s why I’m still working and not retired.

The project I completed today was scraping all the liquid nails off the bottom of the walls where the previous owner (or tenant) glued some plastic baseboard to the cement walls. Thankfully there are only 2 cement walls. Next project: spackle, sand, wash and paint. It could be a while for that ‘paint’ part.

I have to work the next 6 days, so no big project, or for that matter, part of any project, will get done in the next 6 days. I hope there’s not a lot of physical labor to do at work, because my hands and arms are sore from the last 3 days of work, and a day of scraping. I need to rest them. Tylenol is my best friend.

The plumber never came to put in my faucet. I’m betting he forgot, since I text him directly. No biggie, I wouldn’t have had the cash to pay him anyway. My gardener (heh) ran a bit more than I thought. I still owe him $10 which I bet he won’t take. Next project he does I’ll just overpay him.

I’m tired. I thought you were supposed to be rested after 2 days off.

Back to work.
