I bought this for Christmas one year. It was the 80's..... what can I say? The cassette tape was in a bin in the Pamida store. Gotta, gotta love this song... for it's pure evil.

And if you want more Cash - this time to look at and read, try this:

More videos too.

edit youtube has all the old Rawhides and Route 66's now too. Route 66 shows you the late 50s/early 60s in a certain real reality. I think I saw the cathedral in Santa Fe in one of the background shots. It's the yellow limestone cathedral that the archbishop in Willa Cather's Death Comes to the Archbishop built. Cather's book is a novel but it's based on the life of Jean-Baptiste Lamy, the historical first bishop of New Mexico, whose statue is in front of the cathedral. And of course US Route 66 went through Santa Fe.

Here have another link - http://www.route-66.tv/new-mexico-route66.html

Rawhide shows you Clint Eastwood with a little baby fat on his face and the incredible Eric Fleming who died way too soon. Other tasty men there too.

Go find Rawhide on your own.

Johnny Cash was one bad hombre, bless him.

I was a huge fan of Rawhide and madly in love with Clint Eastwood when I was in my teens. I was even in the Rawhide fan club! Didn't know they had all the episodes on You Tube, must go and reminicse

I like his song about steeling parts for a car over a number of years, I have a box set of Jonny Cash songs but it’s put away, when Ziggy wants’ attention he walks around with some think of mine in his mouth! I enjoy Stephen Fry’s ‘QI’ programme, it is often repeated on a TV channel called ‘Dave’ last week there were a lot of Christmas QI Programmes on, I didn’t make me brake out all festive; but it was funny!

I rarely look at you Tube and I don't know why. You can find almost anything there.
