What if You Throw a Nor'Easter and Nobody Cares? in General

The (hopefully) last Nor'Easter for this winter has turned out to be a non-event in west-midcoast Maine. Looking at the snowfall predictions at noon it looked like someone slapped a cookie cutter down over Maine from Portland to Wiscasset. Completely skipped us. Except for the wind.

The wind will get worse for a while then die off. If I lose power I lose power. It's cold, but not like dying cold.

The wind whipped the cover off my grill. As far as I know it is heading south. Seems to be a theme.

However...

My folks are heading home to Maine from South Carolina. A stop in Maryland to visit Mancub and Grandcub before arriving home next Tuesday. Sunday I will take the plants I have plant-sat and turn the heat up in their house before they arrive.

Two rounds of rain predicted between now and then.

One of the wonderful things about living in the part of the country that has seasons is when I am roasting on the beach in July I won't even remember this godawful winter.

Surprise of all surprises - my Maine tax refund showed up in my checking account. It is surprising because usually it takes the state an extra month. The IRS on the other hand is still processing my refund. Probably because of the three million new IRS agents clogging up the works while learning how to enforce Barry-o-care.

Anyone who even hints at abolishing the IRS next election gets my vote.
