if anyone has ever met me (and im surprised ive waited until now to say anything), i am one of the BIGGEST elton john fans on this planet. yup. im 26 and i LOVE elton john lol. ive been to 5 concerts (3 at MSG in NYC, 1 at the Times Union Center in Albany and 1 at SPAC in saratoga). right now, on iheartradio (you can listen in on your local classic rock station!) they are playing the ENTIRE album of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, complete with an interview with elton!!! its the 40th anniversary of GBYBR, so elton has been touring and he re-released the album, complete with a box set (that i desperately dont need, but desperately want!) and fathom events of elton john's million dollar piano concert in movie theaters. its been a great elton filled march. oh...and today is his birthday! 67 years old and still rockin just as hard as ever :)
this has to be his best album. great concept album, each song has amazing lyrics by bernie taupin (his long time lyricist) that tell a story. the whole album takes you on a journey. if you never listen to another elton john album, listen to GBYBR. its one for the music history books. i believe that everyone should know/listen to this album. its amazing. it has EVERYTHING. ballads, rock, silly songs, amazing piano solos, string arrangements...anything that identifies elton's music as his own is represented in this album. its amazing. just learned the entire double album was written, recorded, and produced in 21 days. amazing!! and no drugs for another 2 years...he made this album completely sober. just...wow! wow...
in other news...i think the lactose free milk is working! it doesnt taste any different from regular milk, so i think ive solved my problem. i havent been getting the bad gas at night, so i really think the lactose is my problem. the pill helped, but the lactose free milk is working wonders :)
i just talked to dann about moving. he doesnt want to move until hes settled with his boss and his money. understandable...except that we need to get out like NOW. i have the money. i dont find it to be an issue. dann thinks is wrong of him to not pull his weight in put in half right away. i say, let me pay, he can pay for all of may and we'll call it done. he said he didnt want to go look, but did any way. honestly...we both thought the money would have come through by now. i think its ridiculous that we are waiting on his boss for his raise. i really do. they were supposed to talk yesterday and of course his boss had to do another last minute funeral. i understand that you cannot control when people die, but come on! they didnt even set another night. i really think dann needs to grow some balls and tell his boss that this needs to happen NOW. we need to move NOW. i cant live in this place much longer. i cant stand it. plus, his dad wants to charge us more money come april. well, april is a week away. so what are we gonna do about that? sigh i dunno. i just feel like i have the money now, lets go. dont worry about it, pay me back later. its not like i dont know where hes gonna be or where he works or anything. cmon! just move...ugh!! what do you think?? i need some advice on this...do you think dann is being responsible and im trying to rush things? do you think we should just go on my dime and worry about evening the money out later?
