The musical went very well. I realized when I typed my entry on Friday I misspelled “Matilda.” ( I have a cousin Mathilda.) Shows how nervous I was, ha ha. They had shows on Friday and Saturday evenings and a matinee on Sunday. It was bittersweet in many ways since Timmy and Kayla are seniors. This will be the last musical before they graduate. (Who knows, maybe they will want to do community theater as adults?) I was really proud of them for all the practice they put in. They balanced it all with their school work.

Kayla and Timmy each played a few different roles. They worked hard on their British accents. We brought flowers for them after the performances. My dad and stepmom came, and my husband’s parents also came. While I was kind of sad about it being the end of high school, I also helped out a lot with the show so I didn’t have a lot of time to think about it.

There is a cast party for everyone who worked on the play next weekend. Today I think the kids and I were very tired!
