Sick of comcast in Another Open Diary refugee

Looks like my comcast email has gone on the fritz... it's rejecting my user name and password for some reason known only to itself, and bouncing all the auto-forwards from gmail. Not going to worry about it now - Directtv is coming out tomorrow to install a satellite dish so first thing Monday we get to tell Comcast to take their lousy service and put it where the sun don't shine... John got sick of their not being able to make our service work right and getting our bill wrong every single month (they promised us free hbo and then charged us for it, and it doesn't even work in the bedroom, and after fussing for two weeks they sent a technician out who looked at it and said 'oh sorry, they labelled the call wrong, I can't do cable cards' and walked away leaving us STILL without service, and that was the last straw!) If you need to send me email, make sure to use [email protected] NOT comcast because it's not going to work any more even if it was fixed tonight. I just hope Directtv works better... though they already tried to screw us - when we called to get it started the girl ran my credit and said 'okay there's no upfront charges just the regular bill' and then they called to confirm the install and tried to tell John that there was a $99 equipment fee and $99 installation fee PLUS an extra $75 for digging a hole in the back yard because the management doesn't want the dish on the roof (and for some reason we can't use the dish that's already THERE OR replace it with another in the same spot.) John said 'okay, cancel the install' and they took the fees away. Honestly, I'm about ready to tell them ALL to go jump in the creek and go without tv at all, but we'd still have to have somebody provide internet service so we'd still have to deal with them...
