Weather is on and snow is expected tomorrow. Blah!!! Not sure how much yet, but any is too much. Walked the yard yesterday afternoon and many of the spring flowers are peeking out and some have boldly risen out of the cold earth with the touch of sunshine and warmer temps we've had this week. I'm ready to start working outside. I have done a bit of picking up branches and various other yard litter that happens with the winds and over winter. Still have lots more to pickup and some raking is in order. The Moles have been hard at work tilling up little trails all over the front yard. Grrrrrr. I hate moles!! I know that Skippy (the 3 legged board collie) tries to dig those critters up, but haven't seen any dead mole bodies anywhere yet. I so hope my energy and the weather cooperate with each other this spring. Last year it got hot and dry so early in the spring that it was hard to work outside in the middle of day.

I made a purchase at Walmart the other evening and saw a jar lid opener on clearance. I picked up the box and read it and put it down. It was $15 and I really wasn't sure it was worth it as I usually can get most jars open. BUT, there are times with specific lids that I have to struggle for several minutes to get the lids to break free for me. My grip and strength in my hands aren't what they used to be, so I decided to go for it and put it in my cart. I haven't used it yet, as I've not had a need yet, but it will be interesting to see if this battery powdered gizmo will come in handy for pickle jars and jars of that sort.

I've been sewing on occasion when I have the time and energy and it is slow going. When everything falls into place I'll post a picture as I used scraps of fabric to make a quilted top for another weighted lap pad/blanket. This one measure's 42X24 and I plan to put 5lbs of poly pellets inside. It has double layers of fabric on the back and on the front, and I seriously doubt I'll be able to sell it for what I've got in it. If not, I believe my feet and lower legs will receive the benefit at the foot of my bed.

I promised J a trip to Wally World today and I want to go early to get it done. Going to wake him up and see if he still wants to go. lol I need to buy some bar and chain oil for my electric chainsaw which I used last weekend. I forgot how much power it has and how much fun it is to use. Must get the oil to keep it running!! Also need to see if they have silver cleaner. Have some old silverware that needs it.

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. God Bless
