I am amazed at how two people who once loved each other can become mortal enemies overnight. I am even more amazed at the fact I have survived 10 years of being single again.
I have learned much from my trips around the sun, and maybe the most important thing, enjoy what you have left, it could always be worse.
During the early years of my divorce, my ex-wife and I talked regularly. We do share two adult? children and a granddaughter. The first year was trying to decide what I was willing to give up and pay for the freedom my ex-wife wanted. Legal documents, bank accounts, credit cards, so much stuff to take care of.
It was during one of those much needed legal documents meetings that my ex told me something I would never forget. I had just left the office where we had the papers signed and notarized when my phone rings. “I hope you don’t mind but Trish asked why we were divorced. She said it seems like we still liked each other. I told her I like animals and that you were a real Jackass!”
Laugh folks, it was funny then and it’s funny now.
