Good news - I did our taxes and we’re getting a refund! Actually two, both state and federal.
Sad news - the boxer is going home next Saturday. I’m happy for her owner, but I spent five days thinking she might be permanently ours and I’m a little heartbroken that she won’t be. I’m focusing on enjoying the time we have left with her and putting together a care package to go home with her (new leash, food, and some other pet supplies).
Guess I can go look at cats in a few weeks :)
